In our past articles we have talked about the group of young adults who have decided to participate in the Financial
Literacy program provided by the Crown Financial and Slavic Community Center. The Russian Baptist Church of Shakopee
has given the Center a permit to facilitate the classes in their building. Victor Gromoff was the certified leader in the class,
as well as Tim and Aleksandr have been helping him to lead.  Through out the duration of the whole course every student
had an opportunity to become a leader in the class.

The classes were designed to help young adults to understand aspects of money budgeting, credit, savings/investments,
leadership, and financial wisdom. Students were sharing examples of financial statistics, life scenarios, and personal
stories. The classes have offered an opportunity to learn more about banking, financial solutions, and saving strategies.

Slavic Community Center has been, for a long time, an active promoter of the Financial Literacy program for all ages. The
Center has developed this program for people with any or no previous financial background.

The understanding of banking industry is vital in today’s American society, and people that have knowledge about
budgeting, banking, credit worthiness, eliminating debt, and proper money handling will prosper in their financial future.
During these unprecedented times, everyone in our community should understand how to handle checking and savings
accounts, increase retirement funds, as well as have knowledge about the budgeting, real estate, preventing of
fraudulent activities, and financing. Many people of our community have lost their houses, have been victims of the fraud,
and filed bankruptcies as the result of not understanding all aspects of banking and financial systems of the United States.

The Financial literacy classes should be important for everyone who have immigrated to the United States. It is vital to
learn the financial system of America through the trusted organization such as FDIC, from which modules we have
developed our program.

We want more people to celebrate with us their graduations from this program. This program will help our community to
be a “healthy community”.

We are planning on developing the web access to the class materials, and the lecture presentation, so many people will be
able to practice this on individual basis. All of our programs are absolutely free for all participants and we are always
looking for sponsors and sponsorships.

Because we offer classes to everyone, we are welcoming everyone to call us and obtain the brochure about the Financial
Literacy classes.

Our organization will help you to find all of the necessary information for any level of your knowledge. We are welcoming
every church, adult care and senior complexes to let us know if they want such classes created at their perimeter. If you
are interested in this program please do not hesitate to contact us.
